As a key member of the Gold Group Limited team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in line management, with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in fabrication.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating daily team meetings to discuss work allocation and challenges.
  • Scheduling manufacturing projects and allocating workload to meet customer expectations.
  • Working closely with the Project Management team to prioritize works.
  • Collaborating with the compliance and systems officer to improve processes and implement a LEAN manufacturing process.
  • Managing and gathering time sheets from the production team.
  • Overseeing the Fabrication and Machinery teams, including conducting staff one-to-ones and probation reviews.
  • Assisting the quality manager in maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensuring production team members have necessary resources to carry out tasks.
  • Holding team members accountable for meeting daily output targets.
  • Maintaining hygienic conditions in the factory.
  • Managing steel sheet stock and procurement.
  • Overseeing procurement of workshop consumables within budget.
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are met in and around the factory.
  • Maintaining the upkeep and maintenance of the factory and its machinery.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of previous line management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in fabrication.
  • Background in engineering.
  • Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel.
  • Ideally, have scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference given if in fabrication.
  • Health and Safety experience, preferably IOSH accredited, but training can be provided.
  • Budgeting and purchasing experience would be an advantage.
  • Full valid UK driving licence required.
