Senior Childcare Lawyer Role

Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector is seeking a highly skilled Senior Childcare Lawyer to join their team in Luton, Bedfordshire. As a Senior Childcare Lawyer, you will provide expert advice and representation to the Council in all areas of childcare law.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality legal services to the public sector. As a Senior Childcare Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of cases, providing comprehensive legal advice, and undertaking advocacy in Luton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering professional legal advice to Children's Services
  • Managing a portfolio of cases, including s31 Care Proceedings, Emergency Protection Orders, and PLO proceedings
  • Undertaking advocacy in Luton and negotiating with clients and other professionals
  • Providing support and guidance to the wider team and helping them to develop their skills
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor, barrister, or FCILEx with 6 years+ PQE who has previous advocacy experience and exceptional relationship building, networking, and influencing skills. You will also need to be comfortable working in a hybrid environment and have a flexible approach to work.
