About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Technical Department, you will play a crucial role in the coordination and design of engineering projects, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of engineering design and analysis on various projects, from planning to construction and adoption.
  • Procure service records and enquiries for new developments, ensuring timely payment for new services infrastructure.
  • Oversee the design and detailing carried out by external consulting engineers, ensuring compliance with company policies and processes.
  • Secure adoption agreements and obtain designs for foundations and superstructure components.
  • Review and coordinate engineering tender and construction documents, ensuring they meet our quality and cost standards.
  • Liaise with other Technical Team members and stakeholders to discharge building regulations and planning conditions.
  • Coordinate the delivery of technical information for new and current developments, instructing and managing engineering specialist consultants as needed.
  • Prepare Health and Safety documentation in line with Vistry standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all sites have the required information packages to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Ensure consultants design cost-effective and value-engineered solutions in civil and structural designs.
  • Check all drawings supplied by consultants for Civil Engineering aspects of developments.
  • Make Bond applications to the NHBC and discharge outstanding NHBC Engineering conditions.
  • Assist site teams with engineering queries that may arise during the build process.
  • Liaise closely with the Construction Department to ensure timely completion of legal agreements.
  • Be the first point of contact between designers and the site team.
  • Be responsible for ensuring JV's Temporary Works Register is prepared for site.
  • Ensure all Temporary Works are adequately and safely designed, constructed, and used.
  • Assist the project team in producing 'as-built' documentation and the Health & Safety File.
  • Represent Vistry professionally in both personal appearance and conduct.
  • Attend monthly site and consortium meetings.
  • Manage proposed service enquiries with relative stat providers and coordinate existing services disconnections and diversions as needed.
