About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of our residential developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day coordination and design of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.
  • Oversee the design and detailing of externally appointed consulting engineers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to agreed issue dates.
  • Secure adoption agreements and obtain designs for foundations and superstructure components.
  • Review and coordinate engineering tender and construction documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with other technical team members and stakeholders to discharge building regulations and planning conditions.
  • Coordinate the delivery of technical information for new and current developments, including instructing and managing engineering specialist consultants.
  • Prepare Health and Safety documentation and ensure sites are furnished with required information packages.
  • Ensure consultants design cost-effective and value-engineered solutions, and check drawings for civil engineering aspects of developments.
  • Make Bond applications to the NHBC and discharge outstanding NHBC Engineering conditions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (BEng), or equivalent qualifications (HNC/D etc).
  • Experience working within a residential house builder or relevant consultancy.
  • In-depth knowledge of the engineering function and its delivery.
  • Strong mathematical and IT ability, with good decision-making skills and a methodical approach to working practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and influence others.
