About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team at TM Green Group, a prominent civil engineering main contractor. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase of projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids that reflect our commitment to delivering outstanding value to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Identify and quantify project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor services, and other expenses.
  • Conduct thorough market research to ensure up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing and trends.
  • Develop detailed cost breakdowns and pricing strategies for competitive bids.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and present cost estimates to senior management.
  • Contribute to value engineering efforts to optimize costs while maintaining quality and project integrity.
  • Maintain organized records of cost estimates and associated documentation.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements, regulations, and best practices relevant to estimating in civil engineering.
Requirements
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering industry, particularly in highways, infrastructure, 278 schemes, and related projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Membership in relevant professional associations (e.g., RICS, ICE) is a plus.
