We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Technical Department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day coordination and design of engineering projects, ensuring they meet the company's Best Practice Policy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in coordinating all aspects of engineering design and analysis on various projects. You will be responsible for procuring service records, overseeing design and detailing, securing adoption agreements, and maintaining a continuous process of evaluation of Consultant's designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure service records and enquiries for new developments
  • Oversee the design and detailing carried out by externally appointed Consulting Engineers
  • Secure adoption agreements and obtain designs for foundations and superstructure components
  • Maintain a continuous process of evaluation of Consultant's designs
  • Review and undertake coordination of all engineering tender and construction documents
  • Liaise with other Technical Team members and others as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (BEng) or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience working within a residential house builder or relevant consultancy
  • In-depth knowledge of the engineering function and its delivery
  • Strong mathematical and IT ability
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Good understanding of budget management
  • Able to work under pressure and with a high degree of accuracy

Desirable

  • Achieved incorporated or chartered status
  • Be a member of Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE)
