Job Summary:

Ginger Recruitment Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conference and Banqueting Manager to oversee the event operations at a renowned venue in Berkshire. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing events, leading a team, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the setup and execution of conferences and banquets, ensuring each event meets specific requirements and exceeds guest expectations.
  • Coordinate with culinary, front office, and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss upcoming events, allocate tasks, and address concerns.
  • Maintain high standards of service and presentation in all event spaces, regularly inspecting them for readiness.
  • Manage event budgets and resources, optimizing costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide exceptional leadership to the events team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in event operations management, preferably in a luxury or historic venue.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and train a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to handle guest requests efficiently.
  • Passion for delivering high-standard events and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
