Job Title: Academic Program Manager

Salary: £49,250 - £56,921 per year

About the Role

The University of Glasgow is seeking an experienced Academic Program Manager to join their Careers, Employability & Opportunity team. As a member of this team, you will play a key role in empowering students to achieve their career goals and realise their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic guidance to the university, colleges, and schools on careers and employability initiatives.
  2. Develop and lead innovative programs that integrate careers and employability into curricula, working closely with academic colleagues.
  3. Build strong relationships with employers, academic services, and CEO Employer Engagement teams to enhance work-related learning opportunities for students.
  4. Analyse data to inform the design of careers interventions and improve student outcomes.
  5. Collaborate with the Academic Partnerships and Student Professional Development teams to enhance career outcomes and develop a central repository of materials.
  6. Monitor the effectiveness of provisions and contribute to continuous improvement.
  7. Mentor and support new members of careers management staff.
Requirements
  • Significant professional experience in careers services, recruitment, HR, or training, with business environment experience.
  • Extensive experience working with students and understanding student-related issues.
  • Line management or supervisory experience.
