About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Outpatient Services team as a Support Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for recording referrals from multiple sources, processing them through various systems, and ensuring accurate and timely information is shared with patients and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record new referrals and update patient information in a timely manner
  • Process referrals through the Outpatient Referral Console and ensure accurate information is shared with patients and medical staff
  • Open and check incoming mail, updating patient information as necessary
  • Access and update patient records in the SCR and NHS Open Exeter systems
  • Register new patients and prepare their health records
  • Track patient information and ensure accurate updates are made to the Health Records Library
  • Answer telephones and respond to patient inquiries
