About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized individual to provide exceptional administrative support to our outpatient services. This role will involve managing appointment schedules, coordinating patient care, and ensuring seamless communication between departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage appointment scheduling, including prioritizing and arranging appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate patient care, ensuring timely and efficient communication with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide administrative support to outpatient teams, including preparing patient notes, tracking referrals, and ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including secretaries and other departments within the Trust, to ensure case notes, X-rays, and referrals are available for every patient attending an outpatient clinic.

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar administrative role within the NHS or customer service organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, clinicians, and other staff members.
  • IT skills, including accurate data input, with a willingness to learn multiple Trust systems.
  • Flexible and able to multitask, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
