This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Advanced Pharmacist in Rheumatology at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

**About the Role**

As an Advanced Pharmacist in Rheumatology, you will work closely with our Rheumatology Consultants and nurse specialists to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients. You will participate in outpatient clinics, working as an independent prescriber, and support the rheumatology specialist nurses in rheumatology - PGD reviews, competency documents for non-medical prescribing, mentorship for nurses wishing to become non-medical prescribers.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Participate in outpatient clinics as an independent prescriber
* Support the rheumatology specialist nurses in rheumatology - PGD reviews, competency documents for non-medical prescribing, mentorship for nurses wishing to become non-medical prescribers
* Involvement in clinical governance processes, such as development of policies and procedures relating to the use of medicines within rheumatology
* Provide medicines information support and antimicrobial stewardship to the rheumatology department
* Encouraged to participate in teaching students from the University of East Anglia and conduct research

**Requirements**

* Masters Degree in Pharmacy
* Qualified pharmacist registered with General Pharmaceutical Council
* Independent prescriber

**Working Arrangements**

* Full-time, Part-time, Flexible working, Compressed hours
* Monday to Friday with a requirement to work 1 weekend in 10 with corresponding time off during the week
* There is also a requirement to work at least one public holiday per annum
