Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at Peterson. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sales and purchase ledger functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raise Sales Invoices: You will be responsible for raising sales invoices to clients in accordance with our month-end schedule, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Process Supplier Invoices: You will process supplier invoices and complete supplier statement reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Resolve Supplier Queries: You will be the primary point of contact for supplier queries, resolving any issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Manage Shared Purchase Ledger Mailbox: You will be responsible for managing our shared purchase ledger mailbox, ensuring that all correspondence is responded to in a timely manner.
  • Additional Responsibilities: You may also be required to process weekly timesheets, liaise with Operations to ensure accurate data for invoicing, and perform other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Management.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: You will have a good understanding of finance and experience working with sales and purchase ledger. You will be computer literate, proficient in the use of Excel and Word.
  • Performance Measures: Your performance will be measured on your ability to complete sales invoicing promptly and accurately, process purchase invoices in accordance with our month-end cut-off, and complete supplier statement reconciliations monthly.
