Key Responsibilities
- Business Strategy and Growth
- Evaluate and refine our Ecommerce strategy to align with our business objectives, focusing on achieving exceptional growth in both the UK and key international markets.
- Collaborate with the Director of Performance Marketing to develop a Performance Marketing/CRM strategy that balances growth with profitability.
- Optimize and maximize sales on our website, prioritizing new customer acquisition.
- Develop a deep understanding of our brand positioning and operational side of the business to provide informed ecommerce recommendations.
- Continuously develop a culture of testing and learning at speed.
- Build and develop a high-performing team to support your strategy.
- Create a comprehensive reporting suite, from minute-by-minute trading to quarterly Board reporting.
- Platform
- Identify and prioritize solutions to improve on-site conversion.
- Develop and implement a strong CRO and A/B testing strategy.
- Own the implementation of site content, merchandising, cross-selling, search, and filtering to optimize site experience and performance.
- Evaluate and refine our UX strategy, managing the UX/UI team to improve conversion by understanding our mobile-first user journey and behaviors of our core audience demographic.
- Maximize joy and our unique brand feeling across the site without compromising UX or conversion, while maintaining our position as a premium beauty brand.
- Performance Marketing/CRM
- Collaborate with the Director of Performance Marketing to develop a detailed performance marketing plan to optimize the customer journey (e.g., off-site content to conversion, retention, and advocacy).
- Evaluate our PPC and SEO strategy and decide on the best approach, considering in-house or agency options.
- Own CRM and develop mechanisms to maximize retention and repeat spend, focusing on Lifetime Value (LTV).
- Closely collaborate with our creative teams (Design, Video Production, and Copy) to brief and implement the best and most relevant content for performance marketing and on-site.
Requirements
- Director or Head of level experience dedicated to ecommerce in high-growth, commercially-driven digital-first businesses.
- Strong people management and personal development of existing staff.
- A proven track record of building and implementing successful ecommerce strategies and managing backlogs in a fast-growth environment.
- A proven track record of working in Agile environments, partnering with product managers and design teams.
- Very strong analytical skills with detailed knowledge of Google Analytics and other data visualization tools.
- Strong experience working with creative teams and content, including extensive use of CMS tools.
- Experience working with global websites and multiple currencies.
- Experience in fast-paced environments with the ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple projects.
- Strong management experience with the ability to nurture and develop the skills of an existing team, as well as recruiting new hires and partnering with agencies as required.
- Flawless attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
