Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team in a children's residential home. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in childcare and leadership to contribute to the growth and development of both the young people in our care and the team around them.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience working with children in a residential setting, along with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification. Strong leadership and management skills are essential, as well as excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

This role offers a competitive salary of £32,000-£36,000 per annum, plus comprehensive training and career development opportunities. You will be part of a supportive and inclusive work environment that values dedication and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
  2. Lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality care in line with Ofsted standards.
  3. Develop care plans and ensure they are tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  4. Promote a culture of safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  5. Assist with staff training, supervision, and development.
  6. Work collaboratively with external agencies, families, and other professionals.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
