We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated leader to join our team and lead a residential children's home in South East London. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the home, ensuring efficient operation in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures, policies, and the Statement of Purpose. You will aim to achieve a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' OFSTED rating and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Safeguarding Legislation and Procedures, and company policy.

You will provide effective leadership and management, including recruiting, inducting, and training new staff. Your primary focus will be on safeguarding the children and young people, promoting their wellbeing, and maintaining the highest possible standards of physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural care within the home.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
  • Full Enhanced DBS disclosure
  • At least 2 years' experience in a relevant position within the last 5 years
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and young people
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
