Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Specialist to join our team at Ampa Group. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic planning policies and initiatives that support sustainable growth and development across the UK.

As a Strategic Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies to support sustainable growth and development across the UK. You will work closely with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic planning policies and initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing planning strategies and policies to support sustainable growth and development across the UK.
  • Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic planning policies and initiatives.
  • Leading the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies to support sustainable growth and development across the UK.
  • Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Engaging with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to foster positive relationships and address planning-related issues.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on planning matters to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a Planning role (ideally from within local government, consultancy or development industry) with a record of key involvement in the application process.
  • A relevant Planning qualification (or working towards one).
  • A good understanding of the planning process and systems.
  • Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy.
