About the Role

We are seeking an Accommodation Warden to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As an Accommodation Warden, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, families, and staff.

Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the coordination of accommodation-related services, working closely with in-house and contracted services to ensure a high standard of patient and family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming patients and families to the accommodation and providing guidance on our policies and facilities.
  • Preparing guest bedrooms and communal areas for check-in and ensuring equipment and resources are available to support patient care plans.
  • Working with in-house support services and contracted providers to deliver goods and services that support business operations.
  • Setting up rooms, handling and storing luggage, and conducting audits to maintain quality standards.
  • Performing administrative tasks, including data input, and monitoring quality standards to report deficiencies and take appropriate action.

Requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • NVQ (Level 2) in housekeeping or equivalent experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues and proven experience of dealing with complex telephone calls.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a customer-driven service and working to specific targets.
