We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Optimization Specialist to join our team at microTECH Global LTD.

About the Role

As a Senior Game Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing popular games and game engines, developing plugins and demos to facilitate game development and improve performance, and supporting game companies with insights into implementation and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize most popular games and game engines to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Develop plugins, Android Framework APIs, and demos to facilitate game development and improve performance.
  • Support game companies with insights into implementation and optimization, helping them to improve their games and game engines.
  • Research ways to improve performance and quality of games, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or any related discipline.
  • Expertise in commercial game engine optimizations, including Unity and Unreal.
  • Solid knowledge of modern C++ and understanding of assembly and how C++ code maps to it.
  • Experience with Android development, including Perfetto, ADB, and Gradle.
  • Extensive performance and memory optimization experience, proficiency with profiling tools, and a solid understanding of SIMD, cache coherency, branch prediction, Data Oriented Design, and multithreading.
  • Ability and desire to travel regularly to help game companies around the world.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with Java and C#.
  • Experience with game development, particularly with multiplayer games.
  • Knowledge of Arm 64-bit architecture.
