About the Role

Nexere Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Programmer to join our team as a Game Optimization Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of popular games and game engines, developing plugins and APIs to facilitate game development, and providing support to game companies with insights into implementation and optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize the performance of popular games and game engines to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Develop plugins and Android Framework APIs to facilitate game development and improve performance.
  • Provide expert support to game companies, offering insights into implementation and optimization strategies.
  • Research and implement new techniques to improve game performance and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in commercial game engine optimizations, including Unity and Unreal.
  • Solid knowledge of modern C++ programming language.
  • Understanding of assembly and how C++ code maps to it.
  • Experience with Android development, including Perfetto, ADB, and Gradle.
  • Extensive performance and memory optimization experience, proficiency with profiling tools.
  • Solid understanding of SIMD, cache coherency, branch prediction, Data Oriented Design, and multithreading.
  • Ability and desire to travel regularly to support game companies worldwide.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Java and C# programming languages.
  • Experience with game development, particularly multiplayer games.
