Game Optimization Engineer

Exciting contract role with a global market leader in the game ecosystem. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with major players and contribute to the next generation of AAA mobile games.

We are looking for enthusiastic engineers with a background in system performance optimizations on modern embedded platforms like Android/Tizen. A solid working knowledge of Android Open System Platform and Linux kernel development is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize popular games and game engines
  • Develop plugins, Android Framework APIs, and demos to facilitate game development and improve performance
  • Support game companies with insights into implementation and optimization
  • Research ways to improve performance and quality of games

Requirements:

  • Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline degree
  • Expertise in commercial game engine optimizations (Unity, Unreal, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of modern C++
  • Understanding of assembly and how C++ code maps to it
  • Experience with Android development (Perfetto, ADB, Gradle, etc.)
  • Extensive performance and memory optimization experience, proficiency with profiling tools
  • Solid understanding of SIMD, cache coherency, branch prediction, Data Oriented Design, multithreading
  • Ability and desire to travel regularly to help game companies around the world

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Java and C#
  • Experience with game development
  • Experience developing multiplayer games
