Job Title: Assistant Headteacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and committed Assistant Headteacher to join our team at Thomas Ashton School. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking and outward-looking organization that is dedicated to providing high-quality educational experiences for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the curriculum, particularly Key Stage 3, to ensure a high-quality educational experience for our pupils.
  • Lead and manage teaching and learning to ensure that our pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Support the development of staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide an excellent education for our pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Headteacher and Governing Board to ensure that the school is providing the best possible education for our pupils.

Requirements:

  • Recent, successful, and sustained impact as a middle leader, ideally working at Key Stage 3.
  • Positive attitude that inspires, enthuses, and motivates students, staff, and the wider school community.
  • Confidence, approachability, and the skills to work collaboratively, build effective teams, and lead by example.
