Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom EKC Group Full time

About the Role

Empowering the Next Generation

As an Engineering Skills Trainer at the EKC Group, you will play a key role in delivering hands-on learning experiences to students in our dynamic Engineering and Automotive Departments. You will provide technical support, oversee assessments, and ensure top-quality standards are met, in line with College and industry requirements.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing valuable feedback to help students excel and reach their full potential. You will also manage stock control, from ordering to issuing supplies, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest Health & Safety standards in practical environments, ensuring a safe and productive learning space. Additionally, you will manage the purchasing of resources and materials, keeping everything within budget while equipping students with the tools they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide learning/technical support to staff and students, undertaking assessment and quality checking duties.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers and managers.
  • Provide feedback to students that will aid successful progression and achievement.
  • Manage stock control, ordering and issuing of supplies.

About You

You will be a skilled practitioner with outstanding communication, organizational, and facilitation skills who can inspire and engage learners through hands-on tasks and demonstrations, ensuring they receive top-tier learning experiences. Your industry experience will be invaluable, and if you have a Level 2/3 qualification in an engineering machine shop discipline, that's a big plus.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about empowering the next generation and making a real difference in the lives of our students. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
