Disability Training Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Training Specialist to join our team at bemix. As a Disability Training Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering training and line-managing other trainers on the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
This is a vital role within a progressive and diverse organisation, which is the leading partner for the delivery of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training and Leadership Development of Autistic and Learning Disabled Experts by Experience for Kent and Medway.
The successful candidate will have a strong, progressive values-based understanding of Autistic experience and learning disability, and will be able to facilitate learning through a variety of means related to a deep understanding of differing learning styles and support needs.
The role requires a relevant teaching qualification, such as a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS), and experience in the successful delivery of face-to-face training in health and social care or similar environments.
The ideal candidate will be a natural communicator with great interpersonal skills, and will be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training and line-manage other trainers on the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
- Facilitate learning through a variety of means related to a deep understanding of differing learning styles and support needs.
- Work with the training team to make travel as efficient as possible.
- Contribute to the development of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training and Leadership Development of Autistic and Learning Disabled Experts by Experience for Kent and Medway.
Requirements:
- Relevant teaching qualification, such as a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS).
- Experience in the successful delivery of face-to-face training in health and social care or similar environments.
- Strong, progressive values-based understanding of Autistic experience and learning disability.
- Natural communicator with great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer:
- NHS Band 5-6 salary range: £32,324 - £44,962.
- Generous 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
- Contributory Pension Scheme (5% of pay).
