Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Cook to join our team in Maidstone, Medway, and surrounding areas. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations, including finances, to ensure exceptional quality and service standards.

As a Mobile Cook, you will be the driving force behind our kitchen's success, leading a team of professionals to deliver outstanding results. Your expertise in cooking on a large scale, combined with your ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, will be invaluable in maintaining our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the replenishment of food and the dismantling of work areas at the end of service.
  • Develop, mentor, and inspire the kitchen team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Control the complete catering operation, including labour, food, and stock expenses, to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure uniformity in food and service standards across all areas, including staff, visitors, and students.
  • Manage the creation and development of menus to meet the needs of our diverse customer base.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and maintain high standards.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
  • Proven experience in cooking on a large scale, with a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic food handling skills certification, including NVQ Level 2 and Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
