We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Cook to join our team at Sodexo. As a Mobile Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food to our clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food to company standards, including breakfast, morning break, lunch, and hospitality.
- Adhere to all company compliance, including food safety, health and safety, allergen awareness, COSHH, and HACCP regulations.
- Carry out craft/skills training for catering staff.
- Ensure that all service counters and food are presented to company standards.
- Guarantee that each dish served is portioned according to business requirements.
- Complete daily/weekly cleaning duties as instructed by the line manager, including all food preparation and storage areas, all catering communal areas, and removal of waste from catering areas.
- Deliver exceptionally high standards in customer service, cleanliness, tidiness, and other operational activity.
- Full UK driving license required for this position and own vehicle required for this role.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in hands-on cooking, training on food hygiene, and health and safety.
- Expertise in cooking on a large scale, anywhere between 100-1300 students.
- Experience following recipes, possibly in a similar setting.
- Experience working with fresh produce and ingredients.
- Awareness of the importance of adhering to health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a busy kitchen environment.
- Professionalism, leading by example, and a positive outlook.
- Basic food handling skills certification.
