Plumber Maintenance Specialist

As a skilled plumber in the public sector, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in maintenance and repair. This 6-month contract has the possibility of extension, making it an ideal choice for those looking for a long-term position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting and working from instructions, drawings, and specifications without supervision
- Setting out new work or setting up production using relevant instruments and machinery without supervision
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs to catering, laundry, boiler, and sterilizing equipment
- Carrying out routine inspections, servicing, and testing of plant and equipment
- Welding repairs to pipework, plant, and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on plumbing installations
Required skills and qualifications include:
- A recognized EITB or CITB apprenticeship or approved training in mechanical engineering (plumbing)
- Three years' post-qualification experience in plumbing installation and maintenance
- City and Guilds NVQ Levels 2 & 3 - Mechanical Engineering (Plumbing)
- OR City and Guilds craft and advanced craft (plumbing/mechanical engineering) with full-time served apprenticeship
- OR Time-served plumbing apprenticeship in a healthcare maintenance environment
- Plus Craft Exams or equivalent NVQ Level 3 qualifications
