Landscape Officer

Maidstone Borough Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Arboriculturist to join their Heritage, Landscape and Trees team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on tree-related matters, including tree preservation, arboriculture, and landscape management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in arboriculture, with a degree and professional qualification in the field. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and the public.
The role will involve a range of tasks, including:
- Providing specialist advice on tree-related matters
- Conducting site visits and assessments
- Preparing and presenting reports and evidence
- Collaborating with colleagues and partners to achieve project goals
The successful candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the environment and committed to delivering high-quality services to the community.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced and professionally qualified Arboriculturist who is able to provide detailed advice and evidence on a wide range of tree issues. The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree and professional qualification in Arboriculture (min NQF level 3)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and the public
- Experience of providing specialist advice within a local authority and planning context
