Residential Care Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Care Officer to join our team at Acorn Lodge, a newly opened children's home for children aged 7-18 with disabilities.
As a Residential Care Officer, you will work under the supervision of the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior RCO, with delegated responsibility for more skilled practice. You will play an active role in providing a warm, caring, and enabling environment that meets the emotional, social, and physical needs of the children living in the home.
The patterns of care and support in the home are based on the principles of autonomy, choice, privacy, dignity, and fulfillment, providing a foundation for good standards of care practice. You will work in cooperation and consultation with children, their families, and partner agencies to provide an appropriately flexible service in response to assessment and case planning.
The aim is to provide a range of social care and therapeutic approaches to work with individuals, groups, and families, appropriate to the needs of children in residence and within the least restrictive environment possible. You will undertake social care practice duties of a more skilled and difficult nature, including sleep-in duties and working shifts as part of a rota.
