Job Title: Senior Health Care Support Worker

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Health Care Support Worker to join our team. As a Senior Health Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care to patients, including personal care, wound management, and medication administration.
  • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver care that meets the needs of patients.
  • Develop and maintain skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to the development of care plans and participate in care reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and experience.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a senior role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
