About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and enthusiastic Sales and Marketing Manager to lead a team in the sports and leisure sector. The successful candidate will be integral to the expansion of our client's membership base and retention strategy.

Our client is a highly respected educational, leisure and sports institution with a well-established sales and marketing function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase membership and new corporate opportunities.
  • Lead and motivate a junior sales team to deliver excellent campaigns and customer service.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Consistently analyse team and sales performance, identifying new opportunities and proactively responding to underperforming business areas.
  • Manage budget and resources effectively.
  • Provide regular training and support to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to promote membership benefits and sales initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or commercial environment.
  • Related work experience may include sales roles, marketing positions, and team management experience.
  • Excel skills are essential.
  • Ability to translate sales data into tangible results.
  • Team management experience is desirable, or ambition to lead and grow a junior team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and trends.
  • A keen interest in the leisure and sport industry is a plus.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales and membership strategies.
