We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Associate to join our multidisciplinary team at St Peter & St James Hospice. As a key member of our nursing team, you will contribute to the ongoing assessment of patients, providing and monitoring care in line with their plan of care.
Working under the leadership of our Registered Nursing staff, you will provide expertise within the scope of practice to deliver holistic and person-centred care and support for hospice patients and their loved ones.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the ongoing assessment of patients and develop individualized care plans
- Provide and monitor care in line with patient plans, working independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Deliver expertise within the scope of practice to provide holistic and person-centred care and support
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
To be successful in this role, you will have a Foundation Degree in Nursing and be registered with the NMC. You will also have experience of working under supervision as part of a multidisciplinary team and be able to work proactively, independently, and on your own initiative.
Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to provide and receive complex sensitive information. Experience of working in palliative/end of life care is desirable but not essential.
