About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Systems Specialist to join our team at Elsevier Limited Company. The ideal candidate will have experience with modernizing or replacing existing data systems and creating new systems to accommodate new product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data systems that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to resolve issues and make informed decisions.
  • Support junior developers in implementing best practices and engaging in regular code reviews.
  • Develop and maintain integration tools that follow relevant best practices, particularly in security.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and be self-motivated.
  • Experience with data analysis, including PostgreSQL and SQL.
  • Experience with Python and AWS data warehousing knowledge.
  • Ability to model data structures and design effective entity relationships.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the organization.
