Job Overview

A researcher is sought to contribute to a project focused on developing novel nanosheet transistors and circuits at the University of Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have expertise in thin film gate dielectrics, work-function optimisation for electrodes and channel materials, and experience in detailed thin-film transistor characterisation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on nanosheet transistors and circuits with a focus on thin film deposition and patterning techniques.
  • Design and develop digital and analogue circuit designs relevant to sensor readout circuits.
  • Analyse circuit outputs and perform statistical analysis of circuit performance.
  • Work closely with undergraduate and graduate students in the research group.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, or a relevant technical discipline. They must also have excellent presentational and technical writing skills, scientific illustration skills, and project management experience.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
