About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Resilience Specialist to join our Operational Resilience team at AJ Bell Management Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Operational Resilience Manager in coordinating the delivery of the Operational Resilience Roadmap by working with stakeholders across the business.
  • Take ownership of operational resilience workbooks to ensure that the underlying resources remain accurate and up to date.
  • Support the efforts of the whole team to continuously improve and increase the sophistication of mapping and testing.
  • Perform analysis on resilience documentation to identify and articulate vulnerabilities, risks, and opportunities to improve resilience.
  • Participate in group scenario testing to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve operational resilience, which includes the design and creation of the tests with SMEs in the business.
  • Contribute to group lessons learned exercises to document vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve our resilience following business disruption.
  • Ensure any vulnerabilities and actions identified during scenario testing or lessons learned exercises are agreed with owners and documented in good time.
  • Collate and produce accurate and relevant MI for various governance packs.
  • Support the team to deliver training and awareness exercises to embed the Operational Resilience strategy within the business.
  • Keep the Operational Resilience Manager up to date on progress as well as findings from all operational resilience related activities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of working in a role which includes analysing complex data.
  • Experience of process mapping, business continuity/resilience planning or assessment of IT/operational risk would be an advantage.
  • An interest in financial regulations and operational resilience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and confident.
  • Ability to format and manipulate data in excel with experience of formulas, tables and data presentation.
  • Experience of using Visio or similar process mapping tools.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Experience of articulating risks and solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience of using Excel.
  • Understands the Operational Resilience regulations.
