Job Title: RF Hardware Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a skilled RF Hardware Engineer to join our team at Raytheon UK. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing RF hardware systems for our GPS/GNSS Anti-Jam products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing requirements for new products
  • Designing and developing RF hardware systems
  • Implementing RF test solutions
  • Working with other engineering disciplines to design and develop complete solutions
  • Producing design documentation and reports
  • Interface with suppliers and industry experts
  • Solving complex technical problems

Essential Skills:

  • A passion for RF engineering with a desire to learn and grow
  • 2-3 years of experience in an RF position
  • An understanding of RF and analogue micro circuitry design and layout
  • Familiarity with Microwave simulators, PCB layout, and Mechanical modelling tools
  • An understanding of RF test equipment and product design
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in designing Receiver technologies in the 1-2 GHz band with an emphasis on GPS/GNSS signal
  • Ability to take an overall systems view
  • Experience in stakeholder management and customer interfacing skills
  • Understanding of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing

Required Education:

  • A minimum of a Degree in a related subject, preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Applicants with a relevant higher national qualification combined with some experience in RF product design and development will also be considered
