Role Overview:

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Modelling Engineer to join its Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team within the Global Sensors Mission Area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating digital GPS anti-jam systems for the military market and will report directly to the APNT Digital Hardware Engineering Lead.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Work alongside system engineers and modellers on electronic subsystem architectures.
  • Create hardware models and run simulations.
  • Support PCB design, component selection, evaluation, and verification.
  • Collaborate with embedded software engineers and mechanical engineers.
  • Generate design documentation and perform technical reviews.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience with embedded digital electronics and microprocessor systems.
  • Experience working with ADC/DAC, SRAM, Flash, FPGAs, and SoC technologies.
  • Model-based design creation and simulation.
  • Understanding of IBIS, SPICE, and other relevant models.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink, SPICE toolsets, and prototype development.
  • Defence engineering standards and airborne standards experience.
  • High-Speed Interfaces and signal technologies experience.
  • Design for manufacture experience.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
