Post Production Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Post Production Director to oversee post production operations for a global publishing group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing client-based commercial post projects, with expertise in post production processes, workflows, and best practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing numerous projects from various markets, assigning and scheduling video post production, and coordinating internal teams and external vendors to ensure proper resourcing and scheduling. They will also determine and manage resource priorities, work with global post production teams, and collaborate with commercial producers and editors.
The Post Production Director will be a key member of our team, providing quality-control feedback, sourcing and hiring freelance post resources, and providing frequent and concise communication with stakeholders regarding project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects from various markets, including UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, and the Middle East.
- Assign and schedule video post production, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure proper resourcing and scheduling.
- Determine and manage resource priorities, adapting to changing project requirements.
- Collaborate with global post production teams to ensure successful resourcing, communication, and workflows.
- Provide quality-control feedback and ensure final deliverables meet client expectations.
- SOURCE AND HIRE FREELANCE POST RESOURCES AND POST VENDORS ACROSS EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST.
- Provide frequent and concise communication with stakeholders regarding project delivery.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of post production processes, workflows, and best practices.
- Proven track record of managing client-based commercial post projects.
- Significant post freelancer and vendor contacts throughout Europe and the Middle East.
- Experience creating commercial post-production schedules and budgets.
- A strong leader and positive team presence, with at least 2 years as a people manager.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects) and project management tools (Airtable) required.
- Top-notch organizational skills, ability to take direction and give orders as needed.
- Work independently and with teams, able to decipher problems and create solutions.
- Self-driven and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary.
- Adept at determining priorities and able to hit deadlines; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver, with the ability to overcome technical challenges as necessary.
- Experience of working in a global environment and building solid working relationships with stakeholders across different time zones and markets.
- An excellent communicator, with the proven ability of navigating a complex matrix structure, effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders in various markets and functions.
