Job Title: Post Production Operations Director
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Post Production Operations Director to join our team at Career Moves Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing post production operations in Europe and the Middle East, as well as multi-market commercial productions originating outside of the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage numerous projects from various markets across several editors, vendors, producers, and clients concurrently.
- Assign, schedule, track, and project manage video post production from start to distribution on schedule and on budget.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure proper resourcing for every aspect of, and scheduling for every project.
- Determine and manage resource priorities when creative, deadlines, or other variables shift.
- Coordinate with global post production teams to ensure successful resourcing, communication, and workflows.
- Work with department leaders to create documentation and roll out Central Global Video post systems to European and Middle East markets.
- Collaborate with commercial producers and editors during post production, facilitating notes and providing creative and technical notes as needed.
- Ensure post receives all necessary media and paperwork required to complete productions.
- Review content throughout the post process; provide quality-control feedback (audio, colour, copy, design) to editors during a project, and provide feedback on edit resources and production to senior post management.
- Source and hire freelance post resources and post vendors across Europe and the Middle East.
- Provide frequent, concise, and accurate communication with all stakeholders regarding project delivery, including Scheduling, Video Operations/Publishing, and Production.
- Generate final deliverables including simple tweaks for titles and format.
Requirements:
- Post Production experience gained from an advertising agency; media company, post house, media publisher and/or a creative content productions business that has global experience and experience working across a large number of productions simultaneously.
- Expert knowledge of post production processes, workflows, and best practices, including scheduling and final deliverables.
- Proven track record of managing client-based commercial post projects.
- Significant post freelancer and vendor contacts throughout Europe and the Middle East.
- Experience creating commercial post-production schedules and budgets.
- A strong leader and positive team presence, with at least 2 years as a people manager.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects) and project management tools (Airtable) required; experience as an editor a plus.
- Top-notch organisational skills, ability to take direction and give orders as needed.
- Work independently and with teams, able to decipher problems and create solutions.
- Self-driven and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary.
- Adept at determining priorities and able to hit deadlines; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver, with the ability to overcome technical challenges as necessary.
- Experience of working in a global environment and building solid working relationships with stakeholders across different time zones and markets.
