Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biodiversity Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Biodiversity Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in addressing ESG risks and opportunities on international projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic consultancy firm that is passionate about harnessing the power of finance to address the climate, environmental, and social challenges facing the world today.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in managing and mitigating ESG risks on international projects
  • Develop and implement biodiversity strategies and plans for clients
  • Conduct site-based biodiversity surveys and assessments for international projects
  • Work with clients to design and deliver biodiversity assessment and mitigation services
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project execution and exceed client expectations

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role working on international biodiversity projects
  • Undergraduate degree in environmental, biological, biophysical, or social sciences (post-graduate degree preferred but not essential)
  • Deep understanding of key global biodiversity frameworks, global goals, and key biodiversity standards
  • Strong technical background and project delivery in ecological services, terrestrial and/or marine biodiversity, and/or ecosystem services
