**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of History Teacher to lead our History department at an Outstanding rated secondary school in Woking. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History at KS3 & KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for the right individual.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the success of our students. You will work closely with our experienced staff to create engaging lesson plans, monitor student progress, and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will possess a formal teaching qualification (PGCE) with QTS and have experience of teaching History at KS3 & KS4. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History at KS3 & KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5
  • Lead the History department and develop curriculum plans
  • Mentor and support colleagues to improve teaching and learning
  • Monitor student progress and attainment
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and policies

**Salary:** £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience
