About the Role

As a Contract Management and Performance Officer at Lincolnshire County Council, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of the Energy from Waste Contract. Your primary focus will be on reviewing and liaising with stakeholders during ongoing updates and revisions to ensure best value. You will also contribute to the development of service area policy, including health and safety, by advising and making recommendations on operational and financial issues concerning the waste service.

Key responsibilities will include handling contractor enquiries and claims, working with Procurement Lincolnshire and Legal Services Lincolnshire to produce compliant documentation, and closely liaising with our Commercial teams to develop strong networks across the Council. In the longer term, you will have the opportunity to diversify your focus across other contracts within the wider team, allowing you to contribute and add value to the continuous enrichment and development of your role.

About You

We are looking for an individual with the ability to form and continually develop long-term relationships with both internal and external partners. Your communication, influencing, and negotiation skills will be imperative to the success of recreating the Energy from Waste Contract. A laser focus on detail is crucial for maximising return on investment, making creative thinking equally essential. You will need a keen eye for detail as well as a touch of inspirational insight.

About the Team

This is a close team where you will be welcomed and supported. They boast an impressive range of skills and experience, share knowledge, and champion each other every step of the way. Whilst they work collaboratively, you will have autonomy and ownership in your role. You won't be micromanaged, and your opinions will be welcomed, listened to, appreciated, and supported.

This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a diverse team based in the Energy from Waste Facility at North Hykeham. You will be required to commute to your nominated contractual work base when necessary. Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process. Our technology platform and equipment are very good, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
