Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Registrar to join our dynamic team in Older People's Medicine at The James Cook University Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical leadership and expertise in the care of older adults, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans. The role will involve working in a variety of settings, including acute medical wards, community hospitals, and outpatient clinics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing medical leadership and expertise in the care of older adults
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Eligibility for GMC registration
  • Completion of foundation and IMT training
  • Experience in acute and geriatric medicine
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
