NHS Medical Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Registrar to join a dynamic team in Older People's Medicine at The James Cook University Hospital. The department provides acute medicine for older persons in two 28-bedded wards, supported by two local community hospitals and residential intermediate care facilities.
The successful candidate will have a wide range of experience in acute and OPM, with experience of orthogeriatric medicine. They will be responsible for providing consultant-led assessment, rehabilitation, and supportive/palliative care in facilities closer to the patients' homes.
Main Duties- Providing acute medicine for older persons in two 28-bedded wards
- Leading consultant-led assessment, rehabilitation, and supportive/palliative care in community hospitals
- Providing orthogeriatric, older people's trauma, and surgical liaison services
- GMC registration
- MRCP or equivalent
- Completed foundation and IMT training
