Facilities Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to join our team at a prestigious commercial building in Central London. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the building's facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule to ensure all facilities are properly maintained.
  • Coordinate contractor call-outs and attendance for proactive and reactive works, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Source and procure competitive pricing for works packages as required, ensuring value for money and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring agreed service levels are consistently met.
  • Assist with financial accrual activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of expenses.
  • Maintain a comprehensive contracts schedule, flagging expiring contracts for renewal to the facilities team.
  • Support space planning and office moves coordination, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Conduct regular office inspections, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate ad-hoc security cover with relevant contractors as required, ensuring the building's security is maintained at all times.
  • Contribute to the development of building team processes and procedures, ensuring consistent outcomes and efficient operations.
  • Perform porterage of packages and other office furniture, ensuring the building's facilities are well-maintained.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of proactive facilities or office management experience within a corporate environment.
  • Good understanding of key office infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple overlapping priorities and manage own workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • IOSH Working/Managing Safely certification.
