Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Grant Manager to join our team at the University of Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the grant management aspects of the AHRC Hub for Public Engagement with Music Research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the administration of the funding call, peer review process, selection panels/discussions, and outcomes communication.
  • Manage post-award grant maintenance of the funded project.
  • Collaborate with the team and partners to develop and deliver a range of events and training activities.
  • Work closely with the University of Southampton academic team, the external co-lead, Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Manager, spoke project teams, the Centre for Music Education and Social Justice, Public Engagement with Research unit, Public Policy Southampton, and colleagues from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Finance team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of supporting research projects in specialist fields and of assisting research teams to apply for funding and/or managing funding schemes.
  • Awareness of national and international funding landscapes and peer review processes, with knowledge of public engagement and academic research.
  • Some understanding of the music/arts sector and/or research field is desirable.
  • Commitment to applying and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion principles to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work with both academic and non-academic partners.
