Sales Engineer One Thermal

We're seeking a skilled professional to play a pivotal role in our sales and business development efforts. As a Specification Sales Person at nVent Thermal Management, you will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) consultants and contractors, educating them about our industry-leading Raychem products, and driving specifications for our solutions in projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Relationship Building and Maintenance:

You will build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the M&E consulting and contracting firms. This will involve identifying and targeting potential clients to expand our customer base.

2. Product Education and Specification:

Ensure strong collaboration with M&E consultants to influence project specifications, ensuring that Raychem products are included in project plans. You will provide high-level technical support and assistance to ensure a deep understanding of the product portfolio and their applications.

3. Training and Development:

Coordinate and conduct training sessions, seminars, and webinars for M&E consultants and contractors to enhance their knowledge of Raychem products.

4. Sales Performance and Market Trends:

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market feedback. Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market trends.

Requirements:

1. Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in specification sales within the construction or electrical industry.

2. Technical Competence and Communication Skills:

Strong technical competence with strong capability to understand and explain sophisticated engineering concepts. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

3. Proficiency in Software and Tools:

Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

4. Additional Requirements:

A valid driver's license. Basic knowledge of electrical heat tracing or low voltage electrical power distribution. Detailed knowledge of one or more of the following fields HVAC, Building Control, Building Services.
