As a Specification Sales Professional, you will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) consultants and contractors, educating them about our industry-leading Raychem products. You will report to the UK/Ireland Thermal Sales Manager and your objective is developing our industrial and commercial product and local project business.

This is an home office based role, implying a travelling percentage of around 70% of the time, with minimal overnight stay required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the M&E consulting and contracting firms.
  • Identify and target potential clients to expand our customer base.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with M&E consultants to influence project specifications, ensuring that Raychem products are included in project plans.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product portfolio and their applications to provide a high-level technical support and assistance.
  • Stay up-to-date about industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions, seminars, and webinars for M&E consultants and contractors to enhance their knowledge of Raychem products.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market feedback.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in specification sales within the construction or electrical industry.
  • Strong technical competence with strong capability to understand and explain sophisticated engineering concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license.
