We're seeking a skilled Thermal Sales Specialist to join our team at nVent. As a key member of our sales and business development efforts, you will play a pivotal role in driving specifications for our solutions in projects.
As a Specification Sales Professional, you will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) consultants and contractors, educating them about our industry-leading Raychem products. You will report to the UK/Ireland Thermal Sales Manager and your objective is developing our industrial and commercial product and local project business.
This is an home office based role, implying a travelling percentage of around 70% of the time, with minimal overnight stay required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the M&E consulting and contracting firms.
- Identify and target potential clients to expand our customer base.
- Ensure strong collaboration with M&E consultants to influence project specifications, ensuring that Raychem products are included in project plans.
- Develop a deep understanding of the product portfolio and their applications to provide a high-level technical support and assistance.
- Stay up-to-date about industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies.
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions, seminars, and webinars for M&E consultants and contractors to enhance their knowledge of Raychem products.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in specification sales within the construction or electrical industry.
- Strong technical competence with strong capability to understand and explain sophisticated engineering concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- A valid driver's license.
