UK Building Sector Researcher

The International Society for Industrial Ecology seeks an exceptional UK Building Sector Researcher to drive innovation in the BuildZero project. As a crucial member of our team, you will contribute to transforming the UK's building sector by developing cutting-edge modelling tools and approaches.

You will focus on characterising the existing UK building stock by integrating physical attributes, usage patterns, and energy performance data. Your expertise will inform the identification of effective interventions to accelerate greenhouse gas emission reductions and material demand decrease in the UK building sector.

A strong background in Engineering or a related field, coupled with a PhD (or near completion), is essential for this role. You should possess excellent analytical and modelling skills, experience with Industrial Ecology tools, and the ability to thrive in interdisciplinary environments. A salary in the range of £50,000-£65,000 per year reflects your vital contribution to our research efforts.

This two-year fixed-term appointment offers a unique chance to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact in our team. Appointment as a Research Associate requires a PhD, while those awaiting award can be appointed as Research Assistants, which will be upgraded upon PhD receipt.
