Senior Planning & Engineering Specialist

The Senior Planning & Engineering Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance activities on our Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Facilities in the Stansted area. This position involves coordinating onsite contracts to deliver reactive work, planned maintenance, and project delivery on automated sort technology and Building equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Material Handling Equipment Maintenance across the site (outsourced)
  • Coordinate Building Maintenance works and statutory compliance (outsourced)
  • Provide strong customer focus
  • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Manage and review contracted KPI's and agreed SLAs of our contracted partners
  • Participate in a larger maintenance network, sharing information and experience
  • Have a good understanding of Material Handling Equipment and Building Facilities
  • Raise purchase orders, review invoices, and track costs within your region
  • Ensure that all PPM's have been completed to the agreed FedEx standard safely and efficiently
  • Deliver monthly reviews with key contractors both in person and remotely
Requirements:
  • Maintenance experience both automated and facility (3-5 years)
  • Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to plan and carry out tasks without supervision and guidance
  • Means to travel as and when required
