Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Community Development Advisor to join our HR and volunteer team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering our volunteer strategy, which aims to grow, expand, and engage volunteering across communities.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in volunteer management, with experience in recruiting volunteers and supporting others to manage and develop volunteers. They will also have demonstrated inclusivity and creativity when working with new and existing volunteers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering talks and presentations about volunteering to external partners and local communities
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to foster and support our one-team working ethos
  • Supporting volunteer thanking and recognition events, such as our Annual Volunteer Awards
  • Promoting volunteer recruitment and engagement opportunities across communities
  • Planning and running creative and effective volunteer recruitment campaigns

We offer a competitive salary of £19,040 (equivalent to £23,800 full-time), 28 hours per week flexibility, and a range of benefits, including core working hours, flexible place of work options, and occupational sick pay.
